Cenote Dive Sites and Levels
Cenote diving offers a rare opportunity to explore the Riviera Maya’s crystal-clear freshwater, dramatic natural light, and remarkable underwater formations. Every cenote has its own character, conditions, routes, and scenery, making each dive a distinctive experience.
Cavern diving, however, differs significantly from open-water diving. It takes place in an overhead environment where a direct ascent to the surface may not always be possible. This introduces additional risks and requires good buoyancy control, awareness, disciplined diving practices, and strict respect for established procedures.
All our cavern tours are privately guided, with a maximum of four divers per guide. Cenote dive sites are selected according to the certification and experience of the least-experienced diver in the group, ensuring the tour remains within everyone’s training and ability. Divers must stay with their certified CREER Cenote Dive Guide and follow all briefings and safety instructions.
Safety and conservation are central to every tour. We follow standards established by CREER—the Regional Committee for Cave Diving, Ecology, and Regulation in Quintana Roo—to support responsible cenote diving and protect these fragile underwater environments for future generations.
