This untouched cavern offers a combination of two magnificent dives. Both dives start and end at the same place but are markedly different from one another. This cenote does not have a very large cavern zone but it is one of the most highly decorated cenotes with an abundance of beautiful and delicate formations. In the center of the cenote is an air dome and many of the stalactites from the ceiling pass through the water surface and are reflected in it. So we will go very slowly as there is so much to admire!

Both dives require excellent diving skills particularly buoyancy control due to the shallow water and delicacy of the formations such as Soda Straw formations, the preliminary stage in the growth of stalactites. These formations are very fragile and even divers’ exhaust bubbles can break them.

Dreamgate is part of the Sac Actun System, the longest underwater river system in the world, with 376 km (234 miles) of explored lines.
