If you want to find out what scuba diving is like but are unsure if you want to enroll in a scuba certification class, the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience is the perfect way to find out if you like it.

Enoy your DSD experience with your private instructor without any pressure of other divers in a beautiful and unique underwater environment.

Within a few hours, you will learn how to

  • Use hand signs to communicate
  • Perform basic scuba skills
  • Take your first breath underwater

The Discover Scuba Diving experience is not a certification, but you can apply what you learned toward an Open Water Diver certification.

DSD Experience Overview:

We perform the Discover Scuba Diving experience in the open water area of a very beautiful and unique cenote called Cenote Naval which is located in a hidden private eco-park in Tankah Pueblo.

We start with the theoretical part on land followed by an underwater skills session in the shallow part of the cenote. Thereafter, your instructor will take you on a 40 minutes dive in the open water area of the cenote.

Before your DSD experience you will complete a few forms as well as watch a video that previews the scuba skills you will practice in confined water. In addition to the video, your instructor will demonstrate each skill for you.

The DSD experience is taught privately and includes:

  • Your private Instructor
  • Equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins)
  • Tanks and weights
